Q & A SESSION:

Question:

When will we get an in-memory option for PostgreSQL?  pg_prewarm is really a workaround as I understand.

Answer:

In-memory is not the same as prewarm.   Pre-warm is used to pre-load data into buffers after a restart or failover. In-memory architectures are used to improve performance for analytical operations, often in combination with columnar architectures. Column-based storage models are currently being discussed in the community.
